Printing Posters on A Range of Materials

Posters have been at the heart of advertising today, and for many years. Eye-catching, punchy advertising products for indoor or outdoor use for long and short campaigns, to attract attention to promotion your cause and drum up awareness for your brand. Creating a brilliant design can be tough, but Parker Masters can always help you with that.

Blueback Paper – the Bestseller

Blueback paper is a common choice when printing posters in quantities of a hundred or more. It’s considerably more durable than ordinary paper, and wet pasting won’t make it come apart. As its name suggests, it is opaque blue on the back, which prevents over-pasted posters from shining through. This makes sure that your design is always clearly visible and legible.

Corrugated Plastic

If you’ll be advertising with posters outdoors but don’t want to limit yourself to hoardings, you could do far worse than choose corrugated plastic. Instead of paper, it is polypropylene, a waterproof synthetic material that withstands exposure to light and the weather. It also eliminates the need to paste or otherwise mount posters on a fibreboard backing, as they can be directly hung up. Corrugated plastic posters typically have a honeycomb or latticed structure consisting of numerous small hollow chambers, which gives them enormous stability. As a result, they don’t necessarily have to be fixed to a flat wall; instead, for example, they can be hung on lanterns or construction site fences without any additional backing. Another major advantage, apart from being weatherproof, is the material’s very light weight. They can therefore be conveniently attached using cable ties.

Light Boxes

If you occasionally spend time at public bus stops or like to stroll through pedestrian precincts, you’re definitely familiar with light boxes. The posters are printed in a standard format and mounted behind glass. PrintCarrier.com offers two approaches for this: either one page offset printed in four colours, or the front digitally printed using the four process colours and a mirror image of the same image printed on the reverse in only three colours, which makes the poster’s colours appear more brilliant and vivid. The lighting does the rest to make light boxes a very attractive advertising medium indeed.

Digital Posters

If your advertising or other project is smaller in scale, you’ll be glad there are digital prints. F smaller editions starting with a single copy, We print these in various formats on art paper in small batches starting at a single copy. They’re just right if, for example, you want to post a colourful announcement, a list of dates, or the week’s menu in a restaurant.
